ABERDEEN MENNONITE CHURCH

At our annual meeting, the desire was raised for a separate meeting to discuss the church's financial matters. Of course, this year's financial report was approved and the purpose of this meeting isn't to second guess those matters. Rather, it is to have an open discussion in recognition of the fact that we have spent more money than we have taken in for a couple years now. As I noted, it is good to have discussions on our financial priorities and practices while we still have plenty of money in reserves. The situation is not desperate but is worth some attention. This is an opportunity to take a step back and get ourselves on the same page (to the extent that is possible) with how we will proceed.The meeting will take place immediately following the Foodgrains Bank lunch, this Sunday.
